we were talking about something and chad kept saying ‘hedges’ and i dont know what i was thinking but i thought he kept saying ‘head jizz’…and i was all confused…needless to say it made for a very interesting conversation…

this is the first tuesday ever after the august long weekend where i dont have to go back to school…and instead of feeling all sad and missing it i am actually quite enjoying it…even though it was always exciting and fun to buy all new school supplies and start new classes and get new clothes and then rush home to watch new episodes of saved by the bell…its good to be out of all that and not have to worry about homework and projects and tests and all the non fun stuff…

this long weekend was a little bit of a bust…although all i have been complaining about is how i want a weekend to relax and enjoy the sun and just hang out, this was the weekend were stuff was ready to be installed and progress could be made…but…it had to be put on hold for a bit…because dearest chad and his bad knees got in the way…

after helping a neighbour move a ladder saturday afternoon his left knee swelled up like a balloon full of water which made it almost impossible for him to walk or do anything standing…having no idea how he hurt his knee in a matter of 5 minutes he ignored it and sat on the floor and sanded the bathroom cabinet…but then it started to hurt so he rested it for a bit…in knowing his knees he figured the swelling would go down by morning and if not we would go to the clinic…

so sunday morning came and off to the clinic we went…for two and a half hours…waiting…we figured they would just drain his knee and he’d be all back to new…but no…they didnt want to possibly cause an infection…plus they had no idea what was going on with his knee…so they sent us home…and a pack of ice and said if it gets worse go to the hospital…greeeaaat…

so there he sat…in his pjs…in his big comfy chair…ice on his knee…all day long…

but he felt bad not being able to do anything so he decided he was going to attempt to start working on the cabinet hardware…

he wanted to use the drill…but he couldn’t stand for very long so i didnt know how he was going to get it done…

but he got up and screwed a knob…ha…on the cabinet drawers…and then sat back down…

we ended up spending the evening watching holmes on homes and home renovation shows…cause thats what we’ve become…chad figured out he could sit in his chair and screw in hinges so he amused himself with that…

then monday morning came and it was the same thing…at least this time he was able to stand for longer so we actually got all the cabinet doors up…


it was good that it rained all weekend long cause otherwise i would have been pissed stuck indoors all day…even though its not his fault his knee is swollen…but still…poor chad…

today…again…is the same…as he sleeps in all day using his ‘get out of jail free card’ for at least the next couple of days…tonight he is insisting we go to costco since he is out of peanut butter and needs to buy the jumbo bucket full or else he will die of starvation…so i gotta find him some crutches so he can hobble along…that should be interesting…

i think hes loving just sitting there getting me to do everything for him…

at least its only 1 more week till the new countertops and dishwasher!!!
