So I’m typing up the guest list right now. It’s not finalized and its almost 300 people, which could pose as a problem. Luckily about 20 of them are relatives from over seas, Australia and Italy, and they will most likely not come, except for a few exceptions.

Our hall fits 250 people using the round tables, 300 people long tables. We want the round tables so I’m praying everything works out.

I bought the paper to make the invitations. I made a sample and it looks oh so pretty. I ordered the envelopes and hopefully they will be here next week. Now its a matter of collecting addresses. I am all about getting things done a head of schedule.

I looked at wedding dresses but they all bore me. I tried some on in front of my bridesmaids and felt like a fool. I am not the kind of person who wants everyone staring at them, which is impossible to avoid on your wedding day. My mother insists that we go to more places to try on my dresses but I am pretty set on making it myself with some assistance. I found a picture of the exact one I want with a few alterations. All I need to do is get some fabric from work and have atter.

The bridesmaids dresses are another story. We found ones we like for $175 each which is a little much. Again, I want to make them (cause I am so damn picky) but my mom thinks that would be too stressful. So we found some at this store. They were on sale for $30. I only half like them and have this feeling they are going to look horrible on the girls. I just need to look more before I decide.

Chads incharge of the booze, (obviously) and transportation (I want a Hummer SUV). We looked at tux’ for the guys last night. I think I’ve figured out what I want, and Chad has no preferences other then he doesnt want to die of heat. I’ll see what I can do.

We dont have a photographer yet, or someone to decorate, or a lot of things for that matter. I need to get going on these things.

8 months and counting.

If you want to visit our wedding website and leave a comment feel free to do so here.

Busy busy. Crazy crazy. Story of my life!

On Sunday we snuck away from doing wedding stuff and decided to join Duane downtown for a Photo Walk. Chad of course did not bring his camera, but rather, brought a flask of scotch. How fitting.

Here is a sampling of my pictures…

I am no longer a flickr virgin so you can view all of my pictures on here. As well, all the other pictures that were taken that day by other people can be viewed here.

It was nice to finally get out doors and go downtown after being cooped inside for who knows how many days. And it was pretty much perfect that the weather cooperated up until we got home and then it started to pour down like a mother.

I spent the night watching Father of the Bride 2, cause I have a soft spot for those movies. They almost always make me tear up at one part or another. I’m such a suck. Chad spent the evening playing CIV with people online. Such a nerd.

Yesterday we had another one of our famous wind storms. It was pretty crazy out and trying to carry a bunch of fabric out to the car seems near impossible. After dinner I had a shower and then headed over to Chad to find him and PatZ on the couch completely possessed by Guitar Hero 3. Apparently Pat only had one guitar so Chad drove him out to UBC to buy another one second hand so they could both play together. OBSESSED.

After Guitar Hero we watched the second to last episode of the Sopranos where everyone dies and it was horrible. As bad as all the characters are I still love them and didn’t want to see them die. The whole night I had nightmares that I was part of the New York family and New Jersey was trying to kill me and I had to travel all secretly and then I got shot at and it was horrible. No matter how many times I woke up during the night I kept going back into the dream. Its no fun running away from mobsters who are trying to kill you.

Damn you Phil Leotardo.

We all know I wanna be a lumber jack. And we all know I have the hat that started the trend.

Then for Christmas Chad got me the hoodie to accompany the hat.

I then come across this picture…

OH NO SHE DIDN’T! Bitch stole my look! I was totally wearing that about 3 weeks before her. Eat that Lohan!

But I guess it does make sense that she is taking her fashion advice from me. I mean, I am THAT cool after all.

A couple days later I find this jem.

What you talkin bout Willis? What you talking bout everybody?

Wanna be crack whore Rumor Willis apparently DIDN’t get my memo RE: don’t copy my fashion because you look like a potato and thats insulting to me.

She clearly chose to ignore me.

I still express yo I don’t smoke weed or sess.

As you can tell, out of everyone I look the best in it. Basically cause I started it.

How dare Hollywood trash attempt to be as cool as me. At least its obvious they failed.

Sons of Bitches.

I guess that’s what happens when everyone shops at Urban Outfitters.

This weekend was a monstrosity.

Saturday morning my cousins and I went to the wedding fair down town where I got a few wedding ideas but not too many. I wasn’t overly impressed with the stuff they had to show. Plus, I guess since I know a million people who are already helping me out, there isn’t much left for me to book. Except for the photographer and I really need to get going on that. The event itself left me overwhelmed and exhausted. The theme of most days since the engagement.

Saturday night we went to a Italian Choir event that my Italian society was putting on. I, of course, had to help out, and somehow Chad, Dario, and Marlee, got suckered in as well. After Marlee and I attempted to stay alive while handing out free wine and food tickets to the most demanding Italians, we joined the boys in the bar where they were preparing to serve 400 people wine.

I got a new plaid coat at Bootlegger for $40. Except the only problem is that I had to get it in an XS because the had no S and the M was just to big. So now my new coat is a little tight in the cross back, and had I not been TOTALLY lazy I could have headed over to Metrotown since it is a block away from Chads to see if they had a small there but I am all about instant gratification right now and that would have just taken to long.

Yes. There was a lot of wine there.

Plaid and Checkered Vans. You can NEVER go wrong. They are my love.

Ah, and then for the excitement of the night. Dario somehow nicked his pinky on one of the tables which caused it to bleed like a mother. There were no band aids or anything so we had to make use of the napkins and masking tape we found in one of the drawers. It didn’t work as well as we had hoped.

Chad being suave as always.

As you can see, the blood started to seep and get on everything.

This is my favorite picture of the night.

Oh yea. We finally found the First Aid Kit.

Chad spilled.

Almost done.

His tackiest attempt to be suave.

Matt Hasselback has the same sweater.

I hate this picture of me.

All them Italians listening to the choirs.

Serving wine.

Cleaning up while chatting to all the Italian men who kept asking him who’s son he was while he had to explain that he was in fact engaged to the daughter of one of the members and not in fact one of their sons. People were coming up to us all night long congratulating us. One lady thought I was 16 and found it very bizarre that I was getting married. I mean, you’ve known me for how long and you still think I’m 16. Seriously.

Sunday there was yet another Italian event we had to go to for a couple hours to help out at while getting free food and drinks. After a couple hours there we all decided to go for some beer and wings, except for the fact that that morning I woke up with a really sore throat again and was getting worse as the day went on. So I opted out and headed home where I watched TV and snuggled with my blankets from 5:30 – 9:00 before heading to bed hoping to feel better in the morning.

Yesterday, while my throat felt better my chest did not. After heading to Costco and IGA after work my chest was in so much pain I could even eat the most yummi tacos I have ever made. It felt like someone was sitting on my chest and every time I would breath in it would feel worse yet again. Coughing them became my best friend. I pretty much felt like I was going to die.

YAY ME!

What the hell. It’s been a billion weeks and yet I don’t seem to be getting better. I hate this.

this week has been exhusting…last night i came home and was so tired i could barely muster the strength to eat dinner…

i get off early today because of a doctors appointment and hopefully i will be home before chad which means when he arrives home i will be napping…curled up in the coziest of balls…not wanting to be moved…

i wish this weekend could afford some relaxation time but there isn’t going to be any…

this week has been anything but motivating at work…due to the fact that i have not worked here a year i do not get paid sick days…which is fine by me…however, i am on salary and instead of not paying me for the days i was sick they paid me and told me i have to make up the hours…this they remind me of almost daily…

however its not like we are in a crunch right now and my sick days caused us to be majorly behind…and the last thing i want to do these days is work an extra hour every day…its most frustrating…

not to mention for the past two months i have been trying to set up a meeting with my boss for a formal ’6th month review’ at which time i plan to demonstrate just how vital i am to this company and how they should pay me more…

sometimes i think they treat me like im oblivious to the situation…i do in fact know how to read between the lines…and yes i can hear you when you are down the hall talking…

aside from being told my ass looks good in my jeans every now and then…i am just frustrated…
