As well all know, when I am bored I need to find a project for myself.
Todays project? Find someone who can print me a giant canvas poster.
This is my plan.
We need something to go over the bed in the bedroom and we have decided that we wanted a canvas print, something thats very textured with out a frame. We’ve looked at lots of paintings but with the size we want they are all quite expensive. As well, its hard, since we’ve already picked out the colours in our bedroom, to find a painting to match. So since buying a large canvas print is quite the investment we have continuously put it off. That was, until I got inspired!
The other night at our Wedding Photographers house going over our wedding album I noticed he had taken someones wedding photo and blown it up onto a stretched canvas. It looked absolutely beautiful and it gave me an idea.
The main colour in our bedroom is brown (of course) with all the accent pieces being shades of blue and bits of orange. I remembered some photos Patz took in HD that I thought would look amazing above the bed and became very excited with the idea of having one of his photos hanging there.
I’ve sent out a couple inquires about having photos printed on stretched canvas, the only issue is that his photos are shot with a wide angle and most places print them using standard photo sizing which would mean I would have to crop the photo, and I don’t want to do that. So I’ve got to find a place that can print it exactly the way it is sized only proportionally bigger.
Here is what we are looking at…
This is what the bed looks like.
This is what behind the bed looks like.
Here are our ‘Pat Zaph Original’ options…

Which one would look the best?
We are thinking about blowing it up to amost the width of the headboard itself.

I’d say the first one or the third one… they are all awesome, but the other three seem some how spooky or sinister or something…
I’ve always wondered, where do people put those extra bed pillows when they sleep?
K i’m suffering from awesome bed envy now.

any of the 3 city scapes would look nice…specially if its the width of the headboard…and since you are a city girl and boy….

second one is my vote. it is the warmest and most ‘bedroom’ looking i think. the other ones would look better in a living room or kitchen i think. that’s my vote. :)

I would pick either the first or third.
Probably the third. I think it would match the best.
They are all gorgeous Patz

I would say the first or the third! Both would go well! All those photos are gorgeous but I especially love the first one! I’ve been looking for something exactly like that for my house. *so envious* lol!

Tough decision, PatZ is quite the photographer. I would be choosing between 1 and 4 because they are framed in the center. But it’s up to you. Your bed looks so nice, I miss having like a *real* bed.

i like the 4th one the best but i don’t think that it’s a bedroom print in a way. i’d go with either #1 or #3.
