Chicken Pants

Someone split his pants

We ended up going to Bin 941 last night. Such an amazing place. Too bad it’s the size of a shoe box. The food was a bit pricey but definitely worth every single penny. I pretty much licked my plate clean the food was so damn good. I am going to have to bring Chad back there, if we can fit. There are about 6 tables for two and a bar and that’s it. Tiny. We’ll also have to go on a weekday, because as was mentioned to me, there is not even a place to move if you try going on a weekend. They do have another location called Bin 942 which I think is bigger so we might go there.

We ended up spending 3 hours in Starbucks after dinner chatting away. The guys had to kick us out because they were closing and we were still there. I did end up finding a very appropriate Valentines Day for Chad at this cute little store on Davie Street though so that was good! I will have to take a picture of it on Saturday.

I woke up this morning at about 5:30 to the sound of lots and lots of hail. I looked out the window and there was a mixture of hail and snow covering the ground. I didn’t think much of it because it wasn’t a lot and I had driven in worse so it wasn’t a big deal. I left for work and was on my usual route when I saw a gigantic line of cars on Kingsway totally backed up. Before trying to get onto the street I turned on the radio and heard a report saying to stay away from Boundary road because it was a disaster. Boundary is super hilly and it was covered in ice with accidents all over the place. I didn’t have to go up or down boundary, I just had to cross it, but the line up to cross it was so backed up I figured there was no chance I would be able to do it. So I changed directions and decided to head north to Hastings street. It is a ways away but I figured the traffic had to be better then this. Well it wasn’t. There was ice on every street. People were lined up all over the place with almost every major route having an accident on it. While Hastings was cleared of ice and accidents the volume was astounding. It took me an hour to get to work but it felt like so much longer. I thought I was going to end up hours late to realize, I was technically only 30 minutes late. But it was a nut house out there.

But anyways.

I still have not heard from the doctors about when my surgery is. I phoned them but they still have no word, so I sit here and wait.

In related news, my finger that I cut with the bread knife is still healing. It has decided to start shedding skin and half of my nail which is oh so pretty and appriciated. When its finally finished its business I am SO going to get a manicure. My hands are disasters. I spent an hour today testing out zippers, opening and closing them. My thumb is raw.

I am making my favorite chicken stir fry for dinner today. GUESS WHOS EXCITED!?

I’m not really sure what to write. Weeks of posting ever day and sometimes more, filled with inspiration and things to say have left me here thoughtless. I come to this place every day and try my best to amuse myself and make the time pass with out letting anyone realize I’m not doing any work, because there is no work to do. And this lack of work to do leaves my mind blank and uninspired.

Friday night I put my PJ’s on the minute I got home. Chad had actually left work early so it was the first time in weeks he was home before me. I lay on the couch with 20 blankets and didn’t want to move.

Eventually I made dinner. I took a recipe that I had tired months before and altered it to make it taste 10 times better then the first time. It called for lots of Mayo which made it very rich in taste. I love Mayo so I didn’t alter that. I don’t care how fattening it is.

We spent the evening on the couch catching up on movies that people have lent us and watched The Darjeeling Limited. It was totally a ‘Danielle’ movie and I could tell that it took Chad a while to get into.

Saturday I tossed and turned between cleaning parts of the apartment and lazing out on the couch. There was a large part of me that just wanted to sit and watch TV even though I knew the bathroom was a disaster and that I should probably do some laundry.

We met Alicia and Adam at the Stadium and found ourselves sitting in the most amazing seats in the entire world. I actually saw goals scored. I actually saw expressions on players faces. I actually saw penalties in the making. Not mention the fact that we were leading the game 3 – 0 in the first period. Unheard of. The game was so exciting we could not have asked for a better night. The Canucks Orca even died right above us. It was crazy like that.

I also realized that the only time Twitter is actually entertaining is when you are out somewhere and your genius of a Husband comes up with witty remarks to write down.

After the game we each headed our separate ways and Chad and I went home to watch hockey highlights and ended up spotting us in several shots. It helped that Chad was wearing a giant white hoodie.

Sunday I finished up a couple of things and then we sat down to watch our newest DVD series obsession, Long Way Round. My Dad lent it to us because it is his most favorite series ever.  Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman ride their motorcycles around the world and filmed their journey. We only got through the first two episodes which is basically about their preparation with some highlights of what ends up happening. The journey looks amazing but some bad things happen and I started stressed out just thinking about them. I actually can’t wait to watch it. They go through Russia which is a quite fitting really because I have a new obsession with Eastern Europe. Weird but true.

After watching the episodes we went to the In-Laws for dinner. My parentals were there too. Dinner was tasty as always and we talked a lot about smuggling Cheese across the border. Also weird but true.

Tonight I am going out to dinner with the work Chiquas, we just have to find a place downtown to eat.

We went to Costco last night, and had yet another late night dinner of Tacos.

I went to lay down on the couch at 9 and ended up passing out with in 20 minutes. This only happens if I am not feeling well so clearly I was not feeling well. Chad woke me up at 10:30 saying I had to come to bed and couldn’t sleep on the couch, but then he went to check his email and I fell back asleep. Ha. I’ll show YOU!

I did go to bed eventually.

I decided on Monday that I was not going to sit here for another week and stare at the internets until my head exploded. I have a couple tasks on the go, but because there is no rush for them, or time line I feel no motivation to do them what so ever. This week I figured I should just do them and get them over with, that way I won’t be bored out of my mine. Simple solution really, you think I would have caught on earlier. Oh well. As much as the slow time between seasons is welcomed, I’d feel more motivated if I knew the fast times were showing up soon.

I got another one of those letters in the mail. ‘Your card might have been compromised so we are sending you a new one’. While I appreciate you looking out for my Master Card, do you know how annoying it is to constantly received these notices and have to go around changing the info on all the things that I have automatically charged to my card, like my cell phone and such. I never use this card except for the few pre paid items I have attached to it, so I don’t understand how a regular service that has been charging my card for years can all of a sudden compromise it. I completely understand why they do this because it would not be good if some random got a hold of my card info and started charging me for stuff. The only thing that gets me is how often I get these notices, especially for a card I rarely use. My Visa which I use daily has never been compromised. I’m as frustrated with a service that is suppose to help me. How silly is that.

ehh.

I’m a sick emo robot today.
