We ended up going to Bin 941 last night. Such an amazing place. Too bad it’s the size of a shoe box. The food was a bit pricey but definitely worth every single penny. I pretty much licked my plate clean the food was so damn good. I am going to have to bring Chad back there, if we can fit. There are about 6 tables for two and a bar and that’s it. Tiny. We’ll also have to go on a weekday, because as was mentioned to me, there is not even a place to move if you try going on a weekend. They do have another location called Bin 942 which I think is bigger so we might go there.
We ended up spending 3 hours in Starbucks after dinner chatting away. The guys had to kick us out because they were closing and we were still there. I did end up finding a very appropriate Valentines Day for Chad at this cute little store on Davie Street though so that was good! I will have to take a picture of it on Saturday.
I woke up this morning at about 5:30 to the sound of lots and lots of hail. I looked out the window and there was a mixture of hail and snow covering the ground. I didn’t think much of it because it wasn’t a lot and I had driven in worse so it wasn’t a big deal. I left for work and was on my usual route when I saw a gigantic line of cars on Kingsway totally backed up. Before trying to get onto the street I turned on the radio and heard a report saying to stay away from Boundary road because it was a disaster. Boundary is super hilly and it was covered in ice with accidents all over the place. I didn’t have to go up or down boundary, I just had to cross it, but the line up to cross it was so backed up I figured there was no chance I would be able to do it. So I changed directions and decided to head north to Hastings street. It is a ways away but I figured the traffic had to be better then this. Well it wasn’t. There was ice on every street. People were lined up all over the place with almost every major route having an accident on it. While Hastings was cleared of ice and accidents the volume was astounding. It took me an hour to get to work but it felt like so much longer. I thought I was going to end up hours late to realize, I was technically only 30 minutes late. But it was a nut house out there.
But anyways.
I still have not heard from the doctors about when my surgery is. I phoned them but they still have no word, so I sit here and wait.
In related news, my finger that I cut with the bread knife is still healing. It has decided to start shedding skin and half of my nail which is oh so pretty and appriciated. When its finally finished its business I am SO going to get a manicure. My hands are disasters. I spent an hour today testing out zippers, opening and closing them. My thumb is raw.
I am making my favorite chicken stir fry for dinner today. GUESS WHOS EXCITED!?
ME!
