So, as we all know, yesterday was my birthday. This year, obviously, just didn’t feel the same with you know what looming over my head. But I tried my best to put it out of my mind and enjoy the day.

For lunch Claudia bought me Sushi and Alicia bought me a Cupcake which was both very sweet of them and very tasty!

For dinner the parentals took us up to the X-site grill a couple blocks from home. The boys all sat facing the TV and mom and I sat with our backs to it because really, they only loose when I watch. When I had my back turned they were winning, then I turned around, and they lost. UGH. So mad.

The Canucks loss stole my Birthday Thunder. Thanks Chad!

Anyways, we had dinner there and then headed back to the parentals where Dario & Marlee and his parents joined us for cake. My Nonno and Nonna came over too with 50 lbs of frozen lasagna for Chad to eat when I go for surgery and can’t make him home cooked meals every night. The man it too taken care of. This is why I demand free use of all credit cards.

I told Chad that since we were married and my money is his money, and he is just bad at buying gifts, there was no point in buying each other birthday presents. Christmas is one thing because we usually go over board with presents and give each other a huge list of stuff we would like and then its a surprise as to what we actually get. Birthdays, to us, aren’t as big so it usually consist of me telling Chad – go here and buy this – which, when you think about it is lame because I could go out and just buy it myself, all the money is the same anyways and there is no surpise! This year we came up with the idea that we would just go out together and buy something for ourselves we really wanted. This years birthday gifts from ‘Chad’ consisted of all those samples I bought at the sample sale PLUS a two year renewal for my domain name! Haha SCORE!

There is honestly nothing that I need or want, and I did get some sweet birthday money if something comes up that I just have to have! Ohh…but there is a stack of new jewellery at work I might have to take a look through…

Tomorrow we are spending the majority of the day out in White Rock with Chads family but in the evening Chad and I are going to the Boat House for my Birthday dinner. My obsession for good fish continues. The weather better be nice because my entire outfit revolves around a new skirt I bought last month but have not been able to wear. I don’t know WHAT I will do if it rains. Le sigh. Come on MAY, throw me a bone!
