This week. Oh this week has been crappy and I have been reluctant to post because everything that has come out of me has been negative and as I said yesterday, I didn’t want to infect you all. However, today is a different day and it is Friday and it seems as though all that was broken this week has magically been fixed; for the most part.

A small tid bit of what I have had to deal with this week…

Monday I had my appointment at the Cancer Clinic. I went there and basically found out nothing. They were sent half of my test results and with that were not able to make a conclusive decision as to whether or not I need Radioactive Iodine or not. I am right in the middle and with the info they have they were not able to come to a conclusion. So this means I have to wait until August to find out. Apparently each Cancer case is taken to a conference of Doctors where they go around and discuss the best course of action. Because they had to request more info about my case and did not receive it in time they were unable to ‘discuss’ me at the July meeting and I now have to wait until August. I guess that’s not the biggest deal but it did at that little bit more stress to my day. As well, I had to have a blood test taken to see if all my Thyroid levels are right. I will have to do this ever 6 – 12 months for the next 10 years, if not longer. I actually got a call from them last night informing me that my test results came back and I am not getting enough medication so I have to go in and change it now.

Next in line was me realizing that I was running out of Thyroid medication and didn’t know where I was suppose to get them from. I made some phone calls on Thursday realizing I only had 10 days worth of left and both the secretary at the surgeons office and my doctors office were clearly in no mood to help me. It was so frustrating that I almost burst into tear. I mean I need this medication to LIVE and I know that it is my fault I waited so long to realize that I needed more but this is the first time I’ve ever had to do this and the fact that neither of them were willing to get me an appointment for next week was disheartening. The best they were offering me was 3 weeks. Yea how about no. Ugh. Thankfully I received a message from my Doctor this morning saying that he heard I had called and said he had room for me Monday afternoon. He is so much more accommodating then his damn secretary. I really dislike her.

I still don’t know where I have to go to get this medication or who is in control of it because apparently my Doctor doesn’t know what my Surgeon prescribed me and now the Cancer Clinic has changed that and I don’t know what I am going to do. UGH. Not good. Hopefully I can get most of it cleared up on Monday.

Oh yea, not to mention my scar looks all weird now too. Humm.

But anyways, thats enough bad story telling for one week. So many more things went wrong but I will spare you those details. Instead, how about some amazing pictures from Canada Day!?

The top of Grouse Mountain

Ryan, Elise, Pat, & Chad did the Grind. I took the Gondola up for $40. Yes $40. But it was so worth it.

Pat was next

Ryan was the first to finish, then Pat. Elise followed, and finally my dearest Chad.

Love the grizzly pic. But it makes me think of Grizzly Man and I feel a little sad. And queasy.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing! That looks like a real flimsy fence! Electrified, maybe?
And make sure you keep on the Medical people to do their job!
