The husband and I are sitting outside on the deck in matching wife beaters. If that’s not love, I don’t know what is.
This is what I call a perfect Sunday. Quite, relaxing, and somewhat in solitude. It is very much welcomed after the stressful week I’ve had and all the running around we’ve been doing. As much fun as it is to see friends every day and go out different places all the time, I am a creature of habit and look forward to days of quite relaxing solitude. Chad on the other hand could go out drinking with his buddies ever night of the week and never get tired.
Yesterday we did a bit of shopping at Metrotown. Chad had to get some new runners, and t-shirts, and swim shorts so we headed over there at lunch time. It was one of those magical days where you find everything you need in the first store you go to and its all on sale.
First stop was Champs Sports. Chad brought along his old runners he bought about 5 years ago to see if they had anything similar as he liked the fit and feel of these ones. So we showed the Sales Associate and low and behold they still had the exact same pair of shoes, on sale for $84. SCORE! Chad actually did a little happy dance in the store. Then he asked her if they had any insoles. She brought him a pair and immediately he said they looked familiar. Then he reached into his old shoes and pulled out the exact same pair. We were all astounded. Who goes to a store 5 years after buying a pair of shoes and insoles and find the exact same combo. It was clearly meant to be.
Next stop we randomly headed into Bootlegger (my old stomping grounds) and found two pairs of swim shorts and two t-shirts all on sale for cheap! We really were hitting the jackpot. It also helped that Chad found a t-shirt with his favorite beers logo on the front of it. Oh Chadwick.
Our apartment is a death trap so I’m pretty sure we will spend the majority of our evening out here. There is no sense going back in only to melt. The only problem is that we need the oven to make dinner and I am going to be stuck in the kitchen next to it. I’m probably going to loose half my body weight in sweat.
Gross.

He doesn’t! Hahaha. He needs runners for the Grouse Grind and when he works out.

I got a George Foreman counter-top grill as a wedding present, and it’s saving our butts this summer as far as not using the stove/oven and turning our apt into even more of a sauna. They cool down really quickly, and you can cook stuff on skewers or in a basket that also rotates around. It’s pretty sweet. We aren’t allowed to bbq on our balcony; are you?
