The Light The Light
Holding the light for Dad

I’ve spent all day putting together some trend sheets for a trend meeting that they are having at one of the stores tomorrow which I am going to miss because I’ve booked too many things this week. They are going to be serving free pizza. I am devastated that I am missing it. I will probably spend the majority of tomorrow working on these sheets as well. I will post all the trends on here too, just for fun. Who knew my studded punk belt would one day be considered ‘high fashion’.

Now I’ve got to clean up and pack my bags for a trip over to Claudias for some take out and Grey Gardens. Mom bought it for me a while ago but I still haven’t watched it so we are going to do that tonight. I am quite looking forward to it. I wonder where we will order food from? If my stomach wasn’t in knots for no reason I would be more excited for all the food. I also don’t know how to get to Claudias because I’ve never gone there by myself. Humm…I guess I have an adventure on my hands.

Down to the Beach I go.

Slaves to the Internets

After coming home this morning at 3am and only getting 7 hours sleep we promised ourselves that we would come home early from Grandma Ciavarros 85th Birthday party and go straight to bed. Well, we got home at 10 and went straight on to our computers. God forbid we went to sleep with out reading what happened while we were gone.

We are so sad.

Hahaha!

Chad will probably be glued to his screen for the next hour.

Waste Management

Friday, August 28th, 2009

There is nothing more thrilling then being woken up every Friday morning at 6:40 by the garbage men coming to pick up the garbage of the apartment across the lane, which happens to be directly outside our window. Its even better in the middle of summer when all the windows are open because it is hot out and they let the truck idol for 10 minutes while they do whatever the hell it is they do. I didn’t know city workers actually started that early. It’s shocking actually.

Why must they ruin a perfectly good morning?

I have become obsessed with sleep this week. It’s not that I am overly tired, or tired at all for that matter, I am just obsessed with getting into bed early and snuggling the sheets and falling asleep all comfy and cozy. Only problem is that we have been out every night this week so my dream of being in bed by 9 has not been fulfilled. I don’t know if I will be able to fulfill it at all before we go to Whistler. There is so much to do and every night we are out somewhere. Yes its true, its hard being popular. Haha.

Right now my head is full of fashion and I can’t really think about anything else. Fall 09 has been the best season I have seen at work so far and it is inspiring me like I never thought possible. I have collected quite a few pieces so far and I’m sure even more will come once we get back from L.A. I would really like to get moving on having a fashion feature but there has been no time to do anything. I’m tempted to ask our IT guy to help me with my blog. Hahaha. I think I will shoot him an email this afternoon.

I’ve got an over flowing laundry basket and an apartment that has not been lived in for 3 days. There are many things to catch up on and even more fun things I want to do but aren’t priority. It would have also helped to have realized yesterday, while at my parents house, that my camera charger is there and not at home. Dammit Danielle.

Ok there is too much to do at work now. I’m behind because I was called to attend a buyers meeting at Dish Jeans this morning and so my head is spinning. I need to go to the factories, call our fabric supplier, send a dress out for production, and then try everything on in the warehouse. Watch me go.

Bottom Feeders

Do not eat Prawn Tempura and then go see District 9.

Also, do not sit in the 3rd row if you get motion sickness.

I am going to go throw up now.

Hungry Much?

So…want to see pictures of a gigantic sammich? I know you do because you are obsessed with food just like me..

The 'Salam' Special
Could there be any more meat?

Could there be any more meat in there? I think not.

Giant Bite
The other half

We went to the Sandwich Nazi out in Port Kells a couple weekends ago. My Zia Suzy has known him for over 15 years and we have heard MANY stories about him so we thought we would finally check him out. He even has a Facebook group dedicated to him.

Ryan & Mike
Sammich

He is known for his pervy antics and his giant sandwiches. I was going to take pictures of Salam and his Deli but then I was somewhat concerned that he would whip out something we don’t need to see. But I guess if you really wanted to see it you could always check out his YouTube video. Just google it and you will see what I mean. It is NOT safe for work.

Pointing out his last bite
COME ON MIKE!
Mike is ALL DONE!!

This is Mike finishing his 1.8lbs sandwich. He was the only one of us who could finish it. Ryans sandwich weighed in at 2lbs, and Chads at 2.2lbs. Chad and I shared half of the sandwich which was more then enough for me. The sandwich and the coke came to $9. Not bad for all that friggin meat.

Zio Paul relaxing

Zio Paul and Zia Maria thought we were all crazy. And really, we were. Hahaha.

I kind of wish I had taken pictures of the Deli now that I think about it. Its something you just have to see. There are a bunch of pictures on the facebook group, though, if you are curious. If you are ever in Port Kells (because yes, I know you are down in that area all the time) I would suggest you go to La Charcuterie Delicatessen just for the adventure that it is. Read the reviews and you will know what I mean!
