There is something about having your bosses Visa in your hand while perusing flights to LA that feels so wrong yet oh so right.

It’s booked bitches!

Next month I am going to be a super star!!!

Make sure to check TMZ daily for my mug.

Chad, expect a huge Visa bill upon my return.

It’s all starting to pay off.

Ugh

I can not express to you just how tired I am.

I’m so tired I don’t even know if that sentence makes sense.

My eyes are killing me.

And the Thunder just started.

Today should be interesting!

Omg I need to go to bed.

I’m useless.

A Gift for a Gift

First Dance

In less then one month, Chad and I will be celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary, and over the past few weeks we have been discussing anniversary gifts and what each other wants. My whole stance on anniversaries, and anniversary gifts is that they should be sweet and meaningful and that there should absolutely be an exchange of gifts on your wedding anniversary. Our lives are so busy that some times it is hard to take the time to really show each other how we feel or even just take out time for ourselves. This is why I feel it is so important to put importance on our anniversary. It is essential to take time for yourselves if you are going to have a healthy and loving marriage.

This year we will be celebrating it in Whistler and it will actually be the first time we will have gone on vacation, just the two of us, since our Honeymoon. This year has been filled with so many events, and vacations with friends, that we haven’t been able to do anything, just the two of us. That is why I feel it is so important that we do something fun for our anniversary every year. Something that takes us away from our day to day business and allows us to reconnect. It doesn’t have to be big and fancy every year, but it does have to be something, away from home, and just the two of us.

The traditional gift for a first anniversary is Paper, while the modern gift is a clock, and there is just something so cute and endearing about taking the list of tradition and modern anniversary gifts and following them as each year passes. Chad was originally thinking of getting me a new laptop or winter coat for our anniversary, but then I realized that while useful, those are the kinds of gifts you give on a birthday or at Christmas, not the sentimental or meaningful gifts you give on an anniversary. This is when we came up with the idea of following the list.

For Paper we have the reservation info for our Hotel in Whistler and for Clocks we were thinking about getting his and hers watches.

Chad has been talking about getting a new watch forever. He has one that needed a new battery, which he finally got fixed last week, but the watch was technically a gift from an old girlfriend, and while that really does not bother me at all (considering I have old jewelery from ex-boyfriends) it would be nice to see him wearing a watch his WIFE gave him.

I actually don’t even own a watch. I use to be obsessed with them back in high school and had a bunch of different ones that I would wear all the time, but I eventually grew out of that phase and then never wore watches again. The only watch I still own is the own my Godparents gave me for my confirmation, but it’s gold so I don’t wear it often.

Unlike Chad, I don’t even know what style, or shape, or brand of watch I want. All I know is I want it to be someone fancy and silver. We are going to go to the Bay this weekend to see what the have, as that is where Chad spotted one that he liked.

While it won’t be a surprise I think it will be really cute to have his and hers watches that we can have engraved and be reminded of our first anniversary every time we wear them. My parents still have and wear the watches they gave each other and I think it is such classic and ‘timeless’ gift to give that we will basically have forever.

Now, I just have to figure out what I want. Any watch suggestions?

Romantical Dinner

After days of listening to The Boneyard on Satellite Radio, Ryan thought it would be more appropriate to listen to Classic 40s Jazz while enjoying a romantic dinner of BBQ’d Chicken, Tortollini, and Ceaser Salad. Unfortunetly, that Sun & Smoky Bacon Chips had caused me to feel a bit under the weather and I was hungry as I wish I had been.

I think its dead Ryan

Ryans chair broke in about 5 places and this is how he tried to fix it.
