Storm Driving
Thinking Hard
Couch Potato

Them Engaged Ones
Slacker

The stomach is in a bit of a tiff after this weekends adventures. My eating habits were all over the place and my body does not appreciate this.

Went out to the Tyrrells on Friday night to watch the game and munch on Pizza. We had to drive out there in terential rain with a side of snow, lots of Thunder and Lightning, and major flooding. The HWY was insane. Thank God Chad was driving.

We watched the Canucks with Dario & Mike upstairs and then headed down to the basement after the game once the boys had left. We all just sat on the couches and talked about scotch and family.

I then came to the realization that I need lounge pants that can be worn out of the house. When I am at home I have a pair of sweats that I wear from time to time, and of course my PJs, but I don’t really have anything in the ‘comfortable’ category that can be worn out of the house. Friday night was a perfect example. All we were going to do was hang out in Ryan’s basement watching TV and doing nothing. It would have been the perfect night for some out of the house lounge pants, but I did not have any. So I had to sit all uncomfortably in my skinny jeans while Elise lazed around in her Lulus. Dammit, I need a pair of Lulus. I’VE BEEN CONVINCED! Too bad everyone’s already bought all my Christmas Gifts.

GROVE PANT PLEASE

While channel surfing Elise and I came across the Exorcist, which neither of us had seen before, and which I never had planned on watching ever, but for some reason we though why not watch the last half of the scariest movie of all time!? The Boys were not impressed and attempted to talk loudly about Bitches & Shit while we hid behind pillows. Smart idea girls, smart idea. Thankfully neither of us had nightmares, but I could not stop thinking about the movie all night.

We got home at 1:30 and we were both out like a light. We slept in on Saturday until 11 and it was glorious.

I didn’t get out of bed until 12. The Real Housewives of NY was on.

Asian Hipsters Vs. UFC

Alicia

So we found out today that due to UFC being the biggest pile of crap ever, Alicia had to move her birthday location to an Asian Hipster Club.

Now let me first discuss how UFC is the stupidest thing on the planet.

It is now physically impossible to find a place to go to on a Saturday night if UFC is playing. Why is this you ask? Well, because every establishment on the face of the planet has decided that they are going to show this ‘amazing’ display of human strength as to draw in all the douchebags and their skank girlfriends who will sit there for hours drinking beer and ordering food. It is obviously a huge money maker for them and they care not for the general public who does NOT want to watch such trash. So my friends, if you and a group of your closest want to go out to a pub or your local watering hole for something to do, or say the Birthday of your closest half-breed Asian girlfriend, you can’t unless you want to try and fight off said douchebags and skank girlfriends. Now, this could be tolerated if UFC happened once a year, or every other month, or here and there, but it seems these days it happens EVERY FRIGGIN WEEKEND. Alicia purposely didn’t have her birthday last weekend because the fights were on only to find out that THIS weekend they were happening again. Is that really necessary? I mean, don’t people get bored of seeing the exact same guys fight ALL the time?

Thank you Christian Audigier and your craptastic line of Ed Hardy Merchandise for turning the world stupid.

Now, secondly, Asian Hipsters. What does one wear to an event hosted by Asian Hipsters? Well my friends, I asked that exact question earlier this afternoon.

Asian Hipster

It seems that my original skank outfit is probably going to be too classy for such an event now that I think about it. I will have to go shopping tomorrow to look for some of the more elegant items described in the above discussion in order to fit into the scene properly. I actually love that Alicia has picked this destination to ring in her 23rd birthday because only excitement and hilarity can ensue at en establishment such as the Fortune Sound Club. I’m pretty sure Chad is going to show up with out any sleeves and quite possibly will be borrowing Steve’s Prelude with a Fin.

And lastly, discussing Asian Hipsters all day made me think of my most favorite quote. I said this to Alicia while driving around the underground parking lot of Metrotown.

“If you weren’t half Asian and in this car right now I would be throwing down some harsh ethnic slurs”

So this was what I was tucked away doing all day yesterday. As Chad says ‘You’re not a Manager, so why were you there?’. Well my friends, I am a design assistant, and since this meeting had to do with design, I was there. It was also  great way to kill an afternoon. Plus, I had to help with a lot of the set up of everything. I have a feeling that every time the design part of me is needed the production side gets jealous because it doesn’t get the attention it wants. Well, that’s just what happens when I have my hands in everything.

Managers meetings always seem to be frantic and rush and behind in time, but once we get our part going, I always find it very informative, even though I should technically already know all the info. It always helps to be fed something in a different manner, because then you learn different things. I love watching Claudia put together outfits.

Yesterdays meeting reminded me of the first one I ever attended, which had to be held on a Sunday when the heat was broken in the office. I don’t know if I ever blogged about it. We were stuck all day because out part kept getting postponed. The heat wasn’t working and we were all wearing 17 layers. It was raining so hard outside and it was so cold I was loosing my mind. I think I actually cried because I was so cold and so frustrated. Wasting a Sunday stuck at work, not actually working, but instead just waiting. Then I went back to Chads apartment where he surprised me by building our first fire. Only problem was that he didn’t open the flout all the way so the entire apartment filled with smoke. So we had to open all the windows and grab all the fans to try and clear out the apartment of smoke. I froze yet again. That was a horrible, horrible day. Well, most of it was.

Last night I tried a new recipe called ‘French Onion Pork Chop Skillet’. I get those free Kraft Food Magazines and I love all the ideas in them. The recipe looked pretty good and really easy so I was inspired to give it a shot. It’s basically like mixing French Onion Soup and Pork Chops together. Well, it turned out, and it was good, but Chad didn’t like it much. That man doesn’t like anything much. He is so simple in his tastes that it is rare that I find something new that he loves. I, of course, was then insulted that he didn’t like the meal, because I take everything way to personally, because I am a girl, and even though it was the recipe and not execution of it that he didn’t really like, I still felt like it was my fault. Yes, I am that crazy when it comes to food, or just in general. Tonight I will make him is favorite omelet and then all will be restored.

I spent the rest of the evening wrapped in a bunch of cozy blankets watching the Hills. Oh yes, guilty pleasure, it took me a million years, but I am finally hooked on the Hills.

I’ve been a space cadet today, too conserned with combing my hair then figuring out what I should be working on.

I am bang obsessed, as always.

I think I just feel lost today.

I don’t know where my mind is.
