This weather hasn’t really made me depressed at all, its just made me want to stay snuggled in bed all day long, which means that all I feel these days is sleep deprived.  I do have to say though that thanks to the rain my car is spotless. I think that is the only bonus to the rain.

Dario txt’d me yesterday morning because they were talking about people who have had Cancer and were treated with Radioactive substances on The Fox. He told me to call in but by the time I realized it was too late, plus I would have been too nervous. I decided to send them an email telling them about my story with a link to my blog about my Radioactive experience. I didn’t expect them to read my email on air as it was pretty long, but this morning when it was time for Jeff O’Neil mail, they referred back to the conversation they had yesterday and mentioned my email and that I had been radioactive too. It was pretty neat to hear my name on The Fox even though they didn’t really say anything specific about my story. When I go to work I found an email from my favorite of the 3 morning show hosts…

Thanks Danielle, you are hot too!

And being a cancer survivor you are a hero as well. Congratulations!

Hope you heard your email on O’Neil mail this morning.

I was pretty excited about that. Haha. It reminds me of the time we were at Chads friends birthday down at a Pub in Kits. He went to school with Charis and knows her quite well. She was at the party and I began to freak out like I had seen a movie star. I, of course, was to nervous to go up and say Hi because I didn’t want to sound like some creepy fan even though I am far from creepy. By the time I had the courage to say Hi she had already left. I absolutely adore her though. She is one of the funniest people on the radio.

At work today I had a quick meeting with the Boss & my Production Manager about my trip to Italy. I had been freaking out about it a bit lately as I was unsure if I would be able to just go ahead and book my flight with out running the dates past them a secondtime, as I know others in the office have had a much more difficult time booking of holidays. I was almost expecting it to be way more difficult then it has been. The reason I was freaking out was because I asked my Boss so long ago that I didn’t really know if she still remembered. Then there was a rumour going around that she was actually going to only allow me to take 3 weeks instead of 4, but nothing ever came of that. So I wasn’t really sure as to where I stood and was going to just go ahead and book everything and then if a problem arose I would just play dumb, even though that is not my style at all. Anyways, it was all hashed out and I still have my 4 weeks off, they just asked that I leave in Mid September as a pose to Early September which actually works out perfectly for me. I guess they were starting to panic about next year after this September was such a disaster of rushing and last minute things.

We also had a quite chat about where I see myself going in the company. I know there is not much room to move as we are small and its not like I could be promoted to designer or anything, but there is room for me to take on more responsibilities and to do different things. I have to make a list of ideas I have and present them to the Boss when she gets back from LA. I’m quite excited about it. I’m hoping a pay raise goes hand in hand with this.

As for now, it is almost 5:00 and I get to go home and make Chicken Fajitas. I’ve never made them before for some reason but I am really looking forward to them! Then it will be laundry time and maybe some relaxing.

Today has been a good day.

That’s pretty neat, I always hear something on a radio and think oh man I should send them something but then don’t just a fear of rejection or something. Your story is important, it must’ve touched them that they mentioned it. :)

Didn’t go for the bison fajitas? I find beefy meats are much better on a BBQ and not friend up like chicken.

Give them your list of “extra” jobs and tell them it will cost them an extra 10k a year!

ps I made chicken fajitas for lunch yesterday they were amazing! Probably amazing because I did not burn them. Ha
