Hi There

With Chads wacked out work schedule, he has been going to be earlier then me quite a few nights during the week. This has allowed me to be witness to some strange behaviour.

It must be the stress of everything piling up and the none stop movement of his brain waves, but it seems to me that at night Chad turns into his true self, a cat. In the last few weeks this trend has started where he kicks his feet really fast a couple of times, as if he is a cat dreaming about chasing a mouse. We’ve all seen out PETS do this while asleep, but imagine a grown MAN doing this as he sleeps. I can feel and hear the rustling of the sheets, but I can only imagine how cute it actually looks.

Add ‘has cats dreams’ to the list of strange behaviours.

On Sunday I woke up to him talking. It was 10am and he was asking me if he had to get up and shower. I asked him what he was talking about and he mumbled something and then rolled over. Later on I asked him what he was talking about when he woke up at 10 and thought he needed to shower, turns out he wasn’t awake at all.

Add ‘talking in his sleep’ to the list of strange behaviours.

Last Thursday, after coming in at 4am from his swing shift, he curled up (like a cat) right beside me and passed out. I was wide awake because I had Brittany Spears stuck in my head, and I could hear his teeth moving, like he was chomping on something. I turned over to make sure he wasn’t eating my hair and all of a sudden he started to grind his teeth. OMG it was the worst sound I’ve ever heard. I quickly woke him so he would stop doing it. He was oblivious to all of it.

Add ‘teeth grinder’ to the list of strange behaviours.

As for me, I use to sleep through the night with no problems at all. Now I find myself waking up in the middle of the night to change sleeping positions, and then as soon as I’m awake I start to think about all the things I could be doing if I was at work. That’s always fun!

Then, in the last month, I’ve begun to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. This never happens to me.  This so never happens to me that the two times it did while I was living at home, my Mom woke up thinking there was something wrong with me, because I never use to get up in the middle of the night. Lately, I’ve woken up with the ‘I have to PEE!’ sensation, but of course, I ignore it, because I can’t actually believe that my body has to pee. Plus I’m so warm, and cozy, and LAZY, that I don’t actually want to go up to pee. So I lay there and try and get comfortable, and then I press down on my bladder to see if I actually have this feeling or if I’m dreaming it, and then after 15 minutes of trying to figure out if I should get up or not, I finally do. So annoying. I blame this whole ordeal on my Mother who Pees 12 times a night. Clearly I have begun to inherit this trait.

I can’t wait to see what other weird things Chad starts to do at night.

Amanda grinds her teeth when she sleeps… it is the worst sound ever, like nails on a chalkboard!

It is not an inherited trait, it is a “lady trait”! Which I regret to inform you usually gets worse as you age., have children, and just the female anatomy….:)
