These are pictures from last Fridays snow fall, and when I say last Friday, I mean the 19th. I am a little behind the times.
Friday was our first snow fall of the season, with the real first giant snow storm arriving 6 days later. I think the city handled it pretty well.
We actually all made it to work with out any complaining, which is somewhat unheard of.

The icicles were the best at night because the Moon lite them and they looked like Christmas Lights.
This Friday night, the 26th, we spent at home just like the week before. It was a good thing we did too because I nearly killed myself in the parking garage when I got home. Chad needed me to stop by IGA to get him some milk, so I picked a few things for dinner and a snack for the evening as well. I park the car in the underground parking garage, load myself up with groceries and things (they call me a pack mule) and start walking to the door. All of a sudden my foot hits a wet tire mark, I roll my right ankle one way, fall the other way, bashing the outside of my left knee on the concrete and finally land half on the jug of milk and half on my shoulder. I realized what just happened and went into shock. It was the weirdest feeling ever. I was in pain but I didn’t know what to do. I was worried I had really hurt my ankle bad and would be stuck there. I lay there with this anguished look on the my face waiting to be rescued. I went to dial Chads number, but as the phone rang I began to come into clarity and realized how ridiculous I was acting. I then heard people in the hall and didn’t want them to find me there, laying on the ground like an idiot, so I tried to move my foot. It moved so I knew it wasn’t too damaged. I hustled myself up, grabbed everything I dropped, and headed up to the apartment.
The Italian House Wife MUST carry on!
The pain didn’t really start to show up in my foot/ankle until later in the evening when I was laying on the couch. It’s a little bit bruised but nothing too horrible.
Saturday I was a disaster because by then a large and painful bruse had formed on my knee right where I wacked it, and my left shoulder and arm were so sore from the impact of falling. I was not expecting that. I kind of felt like I was 80 years old :S
Today I feel better in the Foot/Ankle/Knee/Shoulder/Arm department, but I didn’t sleep well all weekend long, so I’m super tired. I also feel like I’m coming down with something, which is not good!
We are nothing but a couple of cripples.
