Guu for Me and You

BACKLOG
Last one

Krista came into town two weekends ago to get her hair did my the fabulous Miss Marlee J. Saturday night we joined forces and headed out to the amazing Japanese restaurant known as Guu. Matt took me here last year for my birthday. I am so glad I was finally able to go back!

We were suppose to go out after dinner, but since we are all naturally lazy, we just headed back to Marlee’s place for photo shoots, bedroom intruders, and random stories.

Inner nose Cold Sore!!! *FIST PUMP*

Ugh

I slept well last night. I went to bed early and actually had good dreams. I felt good waking up today, and now I feel like the life has been sucked out of me, probably by my cold sore.

It is going to be a long slow paced day.

On a positive note, I am having a great hair day.

First Snow Fall
First Snow Fall
Icicles in the Day

These are pictures from last Fridays snow fall, and when I say last Friday, I mean the 19th. I am a little behind the times.

Friday was our first snow fall of the season, with the real first giant snow storm arriving 6 days later. I think the city handled it pretty well.

We actually all made it to work with out any complaining, which is somewhat unheard of.

Pretty Lights

The icicles were the best at night because the Moon lite them and they looked like Christmas Lights.

This Friday night, the 26th, we spent at home just like the week before. It was a good thing we did too because I nearly killed myself in the parking garage when I got home. Chad needed me to stop by IGA to get him some milk, so I picked a few things for dinner and a snack for the evening as well. I park the car in the underground parking garage, load myself up with groceries and things (they call me a pack mule) and start walking to the door. All of a sudden my foot hits a wet tire mark, I roll my right ankle one way, fall the other way, bashing the outside of my left knee on the concrete and finally land half on the jug of milk and half on my shoulder. I realized what just happened and went into shock. It was the weirdest feeling ever. I was in pain but I didn’t know what to do. I was worried I had really hurt my ankle bad and would be stuck there. I lay there with this anguished look on the my face waiting to be rescued. I went to dial Chads number, but as the phone rang I began to come into clarity and realized how ridiculous I was acting. I then heard people in the hall and didn’t want them to find me there, laying on the ground like an idiot, so I tried to move my foot. It moved so I knew it wasn’t too damaged. I hustled myself up, grabbed everything I dropped, and headed up to the apartment.

The Italian House Wife MUST carry on!

The pain didn’t really start to show up in my foot/ankle until later in the evening when I was laying on the couch. It’s a little bit bruised but nothing too horrible.

Saturday I was a disaster because by then a large and painful bruse had formed on my knee right where I wacked it, and my left shoulder and arm were so sore from the impact of falling. I was not expecting that. I kind of felt like I was 80 years old :S

Today I feel better in the Foot/Ankle/Knee/Shoulder/Arm department, but I didn’t sleep well all weekend long, so I’m super tired. I also feel like I’m coming down with something, which is not good!

We are nothing but a couple of cripples.

Hop Scotch Isn’t for Kids

Another tradition that is held in November is Hop Scotch, or, according to Chad, Scotch Fest. We missed it last year because we were not on top of our game, but this year, thanks to the wonderful Ryan Tyrrell, we got tickets.

Hop Scotch

I alway think it is such a waste for me to go. $40 and all I do is walk around and complain that my feet hurt. Ha. I know I’m there to be the DD but I have suggested many times that I would be more then happy to pick then up and drop them off with out having to ‘waste’ the $40. But I guess at the same time, if your significant other wants to you join in on his man adventures, you should be happy about it!

Scotch

The 3 kinds of women I noticed at this years event consisted of The Classy Girl, The Cougar, and The Scotch Slut. Thankfully there were way more Classy girls this time around!

When you and your drunk girlfriend walk around in little dresses exposing everything so that you bejewelled bras are exposed and try to have serious conversations with men about scotch, you aren’t fooling anyone.

Cowboys

Caesars

They had Scotch that tasted like Vodka but stronger. Cowboys were promoting it.  The point was to have it as a Vodka alternative. The Caesar was a tad too strong for Elise.

This guy owns some BC based Vodka company. He gave them free shots.

Chad finally had Blue label. FINALLY!

The only thing I tasted was the Jack Daniels Lemonade, which I’ve actually already had before.

Another Year, Another Banquet

What seems like forever-ago now, we went to the banquet. You know, the annual one that our Italian organization puts on, the one Pat flies out for because he takes pictures there. Yea, that one…

The purpose of this post was really just to post a lot of pictures of Chad and I. There really isn’t enough on this blog, MY blog.

I forgot what we looked like for a minute there.

The night was good times. I won the centre piece because my name was the longest at the table. SCORE. 16 letters bitches. I was nice enough to gift it to my Best Friend Elise, who wanted it more then I did. I am so generous.

No one at our table won any other prizes though because we are bad luck and never win anything, srsly.

Pat took lots of pictures. Dario peeled batteries. Ryan and Elise got stuck on the bridge. Everyone ate and drank and were merry.

Italians know how to put on an event!
