We had a busy little weekend on our hands.
Friday night we headed over to Nori and Jeremys for some traditional Friday Night Pizza and then to a Mad Men party where we met quite the cast of doctors and medical personnel. I had a very strong allergy attack thanks to some cat fur that found its way on to my pant leg. Usually, if it gets in my eye, my eye becomes red and itchy, but after washing it out I am fine. This time, however, my eye decided to swell and water making my vision kind of wonky. Thankfully this occurred at the end of the night, but it lasted for more than twelve hours, even after taking a Benadryl. Damn you cat who I didn’t even touch!
Saturday I skipped out on doing anything productive and decided to tag along with Ma and Pa in the Mustang. I may or may not have mentioned it before but Pa got Ma a 1965 Red Ford Mustang Convertible, and by ‘got’ I mean that he bought it and drives her around in it because it doesn’t have power steering. He fixed it up a bit over the winter and they have been going on joy rides ever since. I went and bought a blue and red head scarf which I wore with large sunglasses as I rode around in the back. It was pretty snazzy expect when we got on the highway and my scarf blew off and my hair became a giant knotted mess.
Saturday night we joined Pat and Aimee for dinner at Dario and Gina’s, where Gina made an amazing lasagna and Pat sang songs that rivaled Mariah Carey’s range. Then the boys went out to smoke cigars and drink scotch, and the girls sat around the table playing Go Fish. We are seriously from the 50s.
Sunday we watched Italy beat England at Ryan and Elises. I try not to get into sports anymore ever since the Canucks ripped my heart out and stomped on it, so I haven’t really been paying attention all that much to the Euro Cup. I didn’t really get nervous watching the game until it was time for the penalty kicks, which I could not bring myself to watch. However, it was a good game, and it was the first time in my history of watching the national team play where they were actually aggressive and didn’t get lazy and defensive.
After the game we went and met up with our Realtor John and got the keys to the house! It was kind of weird walking through the housing thinking that it was finally ours. Everything that we had works do hard towards was finally here. We will be going back during the week to bring some things over and to start to prep for the renos. Now all the fun can really begin!

Effing cats!!!
Congrats on the house.
