I was inspired to try another craft I found on Pinterest this past weekend. When I saw this I thought it would be fun to do on our new house key to set it apart from all the other keys on my key chain. It was quick and easy and I totally love that I have a sparkly new key!
All you need is…
your key, glue, sparkles, clear nail polish, and a small clamp
The first step is to cover your key in a thin layer of glue. I used a tooth pick to get into the little window bits and it worked quite well.
Next, add the glitter!
I attached the key to a small clamp I found in the office and tied it to the clothes line so that the key could dry easier. I left it out for 30 minutes.
Next I sealed the key with clear nail polish. Since the key is going to be bashing around with other keys in my purse, I did a few coats just to make sure none of the sparkles fell off. After sealing it I hung it outside to dry for another 30 minutes.
All done!
I absolutely love the way it looks on my key chain. A little sparkle for a special key!
So simple and easy, you will want to do this to all of your keys!

That’s a really cool idea! It might get messy, but I think Andrew would enjoy helping me with a project like this.
you can buy key covers at the store… or get keys cut with designs already on them… just saying… the time you save could be better used to work on your edging skills…
