where wild things have to go...to disappear...forever

so a lot of people say to me...'Smelly you crazy'...and i say - OF COURSE - how boring would life be if i wasn't crazy...

the weekend that is coming up is the BIG rossi family reunion camp out thing in manning park...all 50 of us (thats just uncles, aunts, and cousins) rent a huge cabin and hangout for like 4 days...

this year i have proclaimed it to be CONCERT T-SHIRT WEEKEND...and all (who want to) must wear a concert t-shirt everyday...why? because its cool thats why!

so while visiting with jacob and alexis we discussed our concert t-shirt weekend plans and what would be 'acceptable' as a concert t-shirt...and since we kinda had a limited supply we said it could be anything with band logos on it...

and then we came up with the greatest idea EVER...

back in grade 11 my crazy socails teacher thought it would be rad to show us all the music video to Bruce Cockburns - If A Tree Falls...we all thought it was freakin hilar...one b.c of his clothes and two b.c his name had the word COCK in it...needless to say i kinda liked it and ended up downloading it with a bunch of his other songs...then that kinda died and although i still held bruce close to my heart it was more in an inside joke kinda way...then kinda out of no were earlier this year i got back into bruce, and i asked my crazy rad socials teacher is he had any of his cds (we are cool friends and talk on msn) and he said yea and lent them to me...and so begins the obsession with bruce cockburn...

so alexis told me to make this t-shirt to wear to manning...

i decided to name the tour after the song that started it all for me - IF A TREE FALLS - and all the writing on the shirt has to do with lyrics from the song...

i think i am the only one my age who loves bruce cockburn!

isn't there ANYONE else out there who appriciates his music???

maybe its just the environmentalist in me who does...or the one who loves his crazy 80s guitar riffs...awww brucikins...

and a girl in the corner let no one ignore her 'cause she thinks she's the passionate one

to bed at four...up at nine

alexis use to work at a tree sorting plant thing and i stole here safety goggles and wore them all night

there was no food in the house suitable of a waynes world fest so we went shopping at 9...we bought lots of food...and toilet paper

waynes world was amazing...cept we all wanted to go to bed after the first one since it was so late

everytime there was a good joke jacob and i high fived...
"i watch a lot of TV"
"of course you do...your creative"
HIGHFIVE

waynes world 2 wasn't as spectacular because we were all falling asleep

alexis went to bed at two and the rest of us stayed due to a large sugar high

we gossiped about family...i get that from my mom

i took some chocolate that i had bought and attacked jacob with it and squished it all over his face...and he had a bad stomach due to the mixture of crap he had eaten and so when i sat on his stomach he started gaging and attempted to puke...on me...but it didnt work

we talked about my clear obsession with bruce cockburn...i stole their cds

i told jacob he looked like hugh grant...he didnt concur

our crap selection of food...chips, chocolate, sour gummies, pop, and hot chocolate - yes even on a friggin hot night like last...

an oscar clip from a great movie
jacob and his woman
in the morning alexis made pancakes...dont they look yummi???

i see a little silhouetto of a man, scaramouche, scaramouche, will you do the fandango

tonight i am sleeping over at my cousins house and we are going to watch two of THE greatest movies ever made in the history of uber rad musically charged movies...none other than...

oh wayne and garth...you are my heros...be it when you're singing to Bohemian Rhapsody or showing new inventions like the 'suck-cut' ...i applaud you...and with these fine words of wisdom who wouldn't look upon you as quite their own???

"I once thought I had mono for a whole year. Turns out I was just really bored."
"Ex-queeze me? Baking Powder?
"Are you gonna marry her?" "Garth, marriage is punishment for shoplifting in some countries."
and my favorite...
"A gun rack? A gun rack. I don't even own a gun , let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack."

this night is going to rock like CRUTIAL TAUGHT at GAS WORKS

ooh dream weaver...i believe you can get me through the night

dreams are a crazy thing...

sometimes what happens with me is i have a dream about some guy - either someone i know or someone who is famous - and because of this dream that i have its as if it opens my eyes to the posibility of ACTUALLY liking this person...like having a crush...

my dreams are pretty odd sometimes...including the dream that made me in love with David Duchovny...he and his wife shared a bed with me??? odd i know

so anyways one sleepless night last week i finally fell alseep to a dream about Dr. Phil...dont ask...

he was in my room - thats where our therapy sessions took place - and i kept complimenting him on how great a man and father he was...i guess he read into it too much...so once our session is done he writes up a progress report and pins it to the wall over my bed...so i climb up on the bed and start to read it...

i am on my knees reading when i feel him come up onto the bed right behind me - yet i dont freak out or start to become uncomfortable - then i feel him come up right against me and put his hand on my waist - still not freaking out - then he pushes my hair out of the way and kisses my neck - most of you are cringing right now b/c its dr. phil...and so am i thinking about it...but i wasnt in my dream - next thing you know we are making out...

haha oh dear god

just as i am about un-button his shirt (insert barfing emoticon here) some kid runs in and his mother following...we come up with some excuss that gets us off the hook and he leaves...yatta yatta yatta he tells his wife and she freaks out but forgives him but suggests not being my theripist any more...and he doesnt listen...

needless to say he didnt listen and the next week he was back at my house as my therapist...only this time it took place in the bathroom - i have no idea why - and i was just getting out of the shower so i only had a towel on...and this time i thought i would just try and seduce him for fun to see if i could get him in trouble again...but i woke up...damnit!

so because of this RIDICULOUS dream...as i was telling you about before...it opened my eyes to dr. phil and i kinda had a crush on him...that is until i went onto his site and saw his picture...then it was back to reality!

its become so obvious...you are so oblivious to yourself

life is all about taking chances and doing things that scare you...

the comments i received on the last post are appreciated and we some what expected. when i took those pictures i was merely going to take a bath and thought that i could intern get some creative photography from it. it was not meant to be sexy or provocative, although i guess its hard not to read that in these pictures. these pictures also have nothing to do with krista and her situation - i took them before it all arose - but i guess if in some way she and you feel that it supports her then i am glad...

one comment though, in which i was expecting, wasn't left in the comment section but rather in a message to me over msn. my cousin was concerned by them, and i knew she would be. she was paranoid that they would attract creeps and weirdo who would stalk me and do bad things. i completely understand her concern and greatly appreciate it, and maybe i am naive but i am an open individual and feel free to express myself or 'tell my story'. if you ever catch me on msn you know that you can ask me anything and i will answer...

i am fortunate not to have a boyfriend or someone who can stand in my way of self expression. it is through growing and learning about yourself that one can feel comfortable and confidant in ones body...

the only thing i was afraid of was of someone from my family seeing this. i have a somewhat conservative family both immediate and extended and i know that in seeing this they wouldn't understand. i am not out to 'get guys' or be stupid and ridiculous on the internet. i am here to express myself in whatever form i feel is fit. i am not about to post nude pictures of myself. i have no problem what so ever if other people do it but for me its not my thing. and NO matt...im not doing soft core porn you goof!

i am very thankful for the opportunity that i get to be me on here. sometimes in person i feel so restricted and so self concise of who i am, but on here i feel unstoppable. i am thankful for the people i have met and get a chance to talk to. some people get so concerned when you tell them you have friends which you have never met but talk to online, and i just dont get it. i take caution and take everything in good humor and understanding. i am not about to move across the country for some guy i met online or anything of that nature.

lastly i am thankful to all of you who take the time to visit and comment...and to all of those who actually read this whole long thing of me blabbing...i appreciate each and every comment that is left, in a weird way it makes me feel appreciated...which is all i really wanted.

my out of style is coming back...im bored but im excited

so as requested...here are some of the things i have worked on over the past two years...
designed, drafted, sewen - this coat was made for a project we did with The Bay, the theme of the collection was Baroque Pirates...my coat along with 9 others got selected to be part of an event at the bay downtown in september...more information about that will come later...if you wanna buy it its about $600...i cant remember exactly...made of cashmere and mohair and wool i think...its at school so i have no clue!
designed, drafted, sewen - this dress was designed for a project with a local store Ms. Coquette...it actually got chosen to be sold in the store as well...so if you want it it's a size 6 and about $250...buttons and beads circle the dress just under the breasts...the maniquin was to big for the dress...
designed, drafted, sewen - this is a sweat top i made for my brother...nothing special...
designed, drafted, sewen - this is a running vest that we made for a project with Sugoi...its got inseam pockets, a mesh back, and reflectors...
sewen - this was my grad dress...i used a pre-existing pattern and then messed around with it until i got what i wanted...the front is all beaded by hand - by me - and i designed the pattern for that as well...

designed, drafted, sewen - this is my super hot bathing suit...thats very breast and ass crack exposing...the machines used to sew this were really hard so its not sewen at its best...but i love the colours...

designed, sewen - for this project we had to take a pre-existing garment and mess around with it in the style of our favorite designer while adding bits of our own...i chose a trench coat, Burberry, and a mix of punk and preppy elements...

designed, drafted, sewen - this was a winter jacket i made...it looks like a vest though because the sleeves are made of different material...i actually took the design of my aunts jacket and kinda copied it while changing it...its lined with fleece and is really warm...
the greatest outfit i have ever made i dont even have...i made it for my friend...hunchak...and i never took a picture of them other then this one of the embroidery i did on the back pocket of his pants...i made him these orgasmic gray cord pants and a hunter green vest...i did such a good job i wish i could have kept them...

the cord pants had blue plaid pocket bags (because plaid and cord are his favs) and this plaid detailing on the inside of the wasteband...the green vest was quilted and had fleece lining with his initials embroidered on the inside...i did such a good job on them...im mad i dont have them! hunchak if you read this...i need my clothes back so i can take pictures!!!

and that is it...for now...as i create i will take pictures and post them!

i guess i'll be waitin...

so...while everyone was waiting oh so patiently for their new Harry Potter book to come in, i was sitting at home waiting for that fateful moment when the mailman would come to my door and leave me with a package of amusement and hilarity...

waiting and waiting...i thought they had forgotten about me...

alas...after a week and a bit it finally came...with an 8 dollar "crossing the bored and i dont like you" crap tax fee thing...my mother was quite annoyed and demanded i tell her why i was buying crap off the internet...i was like MOM IT'S RAYMI...she just doesnt understand sometimes...

i put it to use the second i got it...i couldn't believe how many emails raymi actually gets...and how bizzare they are...who are these people emailing her???
my favorite email was about someone telling her that if they could be a boob, they would want to be a raymi boob...and it makes sense...you would be famous as one of raymi's breasts...all that exposure, i'm surprised they dont have a fan club...*mental note....
the two minute drawings are also quite the surprise...your all intensly reading these emails and you turn the page and BOOM...a drawing about the penis monologues...i think i was on the bus when i came across that one...and burst out laughing....oh raymikins...
i bought this book...well...because i thought i would be hilarious...in reading raymis blog for a while and seeing the kinds of things on that i figured this had to be just as good...i also wanted to show raymi that the cool people buy her stuff...and you cant expect to get all the entertainment with out having to pay for at least some of it...even though she only gets 9 bucks out of the whole thing...at least its something!

ok so now everyone go here and buy this book too...if you want to be amsued, see what all this raymi fuss is about, die laughing, and just be cool all and all...then buy this book...the interview with raymi at the end was another one of my favorite parts...
p.s. - there is a picture of me on her blog...its pretty rad...i've actually made it onto raymis blog...today is historical...

alexis...otherwise known as uncle joe...she bought this green shirt because it has stitching by the collar that matched her hair...she looks very foresty...
Anuty porsha and Uncle maverick...otherwise known as Ryan and Emily...ryan and jacob sat and made nerd jokes all day...they are computer nerds...
jake, aunty maggie, and grandpapa...we have an on going joke that my mother is an alcoholic...which is funny because she is the most non drinker ever...anyways...we like to say that she is the drunk in the family...here she is sharing some booze with young children...
anuty maggie you vex me greatlyjake also adopted a son...here she is with him - cousin cristinia - ...(this family thing is getting way out of hand)grandmama...actually this is my dad...hes in the mob - apparently - jake took a picture of him 2 seconds after i did and he swearing in that one...oh father...my mom wanted me to take pictures of my aunt since it was her birthday, but i told her that my camera was all full of pictures of jake...she told me to delete them, so i went up to jake and poked him and said "delete, delete' but he wouldn't delete...then he said "i'm a read only file"

I met you at JC Penny

I handed out resumes today. It sorta sucked. But I know how to get from Danielle's house down to the skytrain and find my way around Vancouver all by myself.

Are you proud of me?

I also know how to get to my Aunt's from Maple Ditch. AND I know how to get from my aunt's to Danielle's house. By bumming rides. I don't trust my driving skills.

Bride and Prejudice is so sweet. Especially because the acting is so bad. It's almost a relief when they burst into terrible terrible song. They go from really excited wide eyed reactions with dialog to really excited wide eyed reactions in SONG.

GOD it's so sweet. And that Darcy. Drumming at the end. Pasty faced old-manliness. If anyone in the family meets anyone with the last name Darcy, we've decided to introduce him to everyone else in the hopes that someone will marry him. It's got to happen.

I wore Beck to my Aunt's along with Danielle. I refuse to wear the limblifter shirt with her, because that's lame. I tried to explain why it's lame, but she just doesn't understand. Beck's ok, because they're very different shirts. I can handle that.

I went into a store today, and they were playing "what'll I do" as performed by Rufus and the McGarrigles. One of my favourite songs and my favourite version of said song. I was singing it all day walking down the street. I didn't realize how loud I was singing until I was a block away from the store. I tried to stop singing, but I started up again. I'm such a loser.

I used to sing at work all the time at that volume, but no one could hear me above the machines. And half the time, I didn't know the lyrics. I worked in a greenhouse. I had spiders in my hair. You don't want to know about that.

On my last day there, I went through almost the entire 'galore' album by the cure. I got cut off, though. We got sent home early.

Damn. I love Mint Car.

When my sister sings "lord only knows", she sings "Emily" instead of Odelay. She also sings "If you give him a ride, sweet Emily will die." for "Riders on the storm". She says that everyone is always writing songs about her. Even Pink Floyd.

yet another warped tour has come and gone...
i sooo did not want to go at all this year...even though laura asked me to go and i had already bought my ticket...i didn't know a lot of the bands and really had no aspirations to get to know any of the bands - i was getting over my punk obsession - but i went anyways...and all and all it was good...here are some of the high lights...

one of the funniest things was during the last show laura was really bored and started to pick at her shirt...then she turns to me and asks if i have a seam ripper!!! i know we are fashion students but why the hell would i have a seam ripper at a concert??? oh laura...you kill me...we laughed for about an hour...

it was sunny like a mofo...it always is during warped tour...everyone was burnt and sweaty...what warped tour is all about...

the line up for this year...no NOFX which made me cry but there was the offspring and transplants which made me happy...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
the police men were trying to be tough checking people for pot...HELLO its warped tour...everyone smokes pot here...in all the years i have gone i have never seen so many cops..
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
there was a crap load of people...this doesn't even give it justice b/c behind me was the top part with stages and booths and 5 bagillion more people...
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
new band which laura fell in love with and i did also...the are regge ish...and i hate regge...but the music was good and the lead singer was DAMN hot - bedouin soundclash
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Ahhh the offspring...excellent show...i was there really for NOODLES...the old guy...hes hot...really hot...even though hes 42...umm noodles...what a name eh??? yea and the music was super good!!! they were the one band i actually new all the songs that they played...

ummm my love travis barker flailing away on the drums with his other band - the transplants - hes so hot and do-able...ummm him and noodles together - damn that would be good...and yes there music was good too!!

I wish we were farmers...I wish we knew how to grow sweet potatoes and milk cows

so school ISN'T out for the summer...Alice Cooper you lied...

tonight is my first day of summer school...and im not very happy about it...

i will be attending UBC taking FMST 200 - Introduction to Family Studies...yes i know i am getting my bachelors in fashion, but i am also getting a minor in family studies...this way i can teach highschool home ec. if for some reason the whole fashion thing doesn't pan out...

when i was a kid i always wanted to be a teacher... elementary school... but as i got older that didnt seem to appealing anymore...so i changed my mind and decided on working in radio...but then i found out that they make no money - and i want money - so i seriously considered going into agriculture - yes, i mean farming - my dad grew up on a farm and i always loved the idea of spending all day long with animals...kind of a solitude lifestyle that is still ever so appealing...anyways i most likely would have gone through with that had the school for it not been in alberta - yes, you have to go to school to be a farmer - but since school was far i looked to my next passion - sewing...

and so here i am...in the middle of my fashion degree starting something else new...

i am very unprepared for tonights class...i know nothing about anything or what is going on...which is very unlike me ...apparently this class is "a developmental approach, focused on individual development in families, internal dynamics of family life, and the place of the family in North American society"...riiiiight...it should at least make for some interesting blogs...since it will most likely be on my mind often...

it was demolition day at the rossi residence today...this years summer project - redue the deck - dad and i started on it this morning ripping off stucco and tile and then all the rotten wood...

i love renovation because it means that something new is being created...if i had my choice of cooking or construction i would rather be out in the fresh air with a hammer and some nails then in the kitchen with a hot stove and too many ingredients...

tonight i get to go to a cotillion...or a 'coming out party'...it should be pretty snazzy...i'll take pics of course...a friend from school - her sister is being 'presented' tonight because it's her 18th birthday...apparently its a big tradition in the philippine culture...i never got to go to my friends because i was in italy when it happened...so i am pretty excited to see whats gonna happen tonight...

last night, through some amusing conversations with one of my blogs readers, i got a bit of an odd request - having to do with my apparent 'shoe fetish' - so because i said i would...here are a few pics...hope you enjoy them...*wink

in your head, in your head, they are dying...

so last night we went and saw 'Land of the Dead'...it was interesting...i only almost fell asleep 3 times...at least the main guy was relativly hot...here is matts review...

The movie “land of the dead” lact certain acting talent. Dustin hoffman deserved to be shot for his shitty performance. The movie was filmed in Toronto, but they made it look like central surrey. The central tower in the movie resembled the bcit tower surrounded by crime ridden streets. I found the movie very unrealistic because the zombies were moving so slow but every idiot in the movie seemed to be eaten alive by sun burnt socialites from California. The chicks clothes were not as hot as the ones that milla jovovich wore in resident evil but they did the trick. There were some hot burberry bags that were filled with money, but they sadly were blown up along with dustin. If u need to see a movie with alota blood, this is the movie to see. If u have a bellybutton piercing, I strongly recommend u do not see this film.

Here are our super hot night shots...we have a certian...je na sai qua
