Humm

So many blog lurkers, so little blog commenters.

I did, however, enjoy this Spammers comment…

“Eating, loving, singing and pooping are, in actuality, the four acts of the mirthful opera known as freshness, and they pass like bubbles of a grit of champagne. Whoever lets them break without having enjoyed them is a entire fool.”

Eating, loving, singing and pooping. They know why too much about Chads favorite activities…

The Fashion Blog

 Outfit Alert

I have been toying with the idea of starting a fashion section on my blog now for quite some time. I’m sure you’ve heard me mention it before in different mediums. Fashion is so much a part of my life, even if I don’t consider myself  a ‘fashionista’, so it only makes sense to dedicate a blog to it. Well, that is finally what I am going to do.

I became inspired yesterday and have created a project for myself that is going to last a year. Its going to be called ’365 Outfits a Year’. I don’t want to give too much away but I’m sure you can imagine what its about.

Along with the project I am doing, the blog will also feature things that I have bought, styling idea, fashion tips, trend forecasting, and just general fun things about fashion.

Alicia has already started an awesome fashion blog, and I’m not about to go out and copy her, but I think that even if we do talk about a few of the same things it will end up coming out differently since we both have different styles. Plus the main feature of my blog will be the 365 Outfits project. But I do LOVE Alicia’s blog and the way she puts together outfits.

I have set the launch date to be Jan 1 2010, that way it will be easy to count out all the days. If it turns out to be a success I may carry it on for more then a year, but we will see how it goes. I am very excited to put the website together and explain my mission.

I guess it is safe to say that for the next 28 days I am going to be quite obsessed with setting everything up.

2010 will be the year of Fashion.

Yes, it is another magical Friday where no one is here except for me. Though Claudia should be arriving shortly. I really don’t understand how everyone else manages to get Friday off. Oh well.

Just looking through my Flickr albums and I realized that I have so many albums of recent events yet I totally have not blogged about them. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.

I was talking with Marlee the other night about blogging and I mentioned to her that I miss that time in blogging when people wrote about their lives and told stories about things they did on the weekend or wrote about a conversation they had with their mother and stuff like that. It seems these days more people are using their blogs as promotional tools for other things. The level of personal blogging has declined and inistead it is filled with advertisments for products. Now I know everyone does it every now and then, but its one thing to try out like a new hair straightener and love it to death and want to talk about it, but it is another thing to have almost every post talking about a new place to visit, or a new product to try. I would actually, so much rather read about what you had for breakfast and how you stubbed your toe on the way out. But thats just me.

And maybe I am just crazy.

I have a full day of blogging coming up.

Blogiversary

 Old School Bloggers
Is it creepy that this is the first picture I have of Chad and I the first time we met because it creeps me out??? Chad clearly hasn’t changed. This photo always reminds me of what it was like back when I first started blogging.

I think this is the first time I have ever remembered to acknowledge my Blogiversary. I’m usually a day short, or I forget all together.

It’s funny that every year I get mad at myself for forgetting about this oh so special day and for not writing anything important about it, and then this year comes along and I actully remember and I have nothing to say.

4 years ago today I got myself my first official blog. From there I met friends and interesting people, and I married a blogger and got free gifts. It is obvious that my life would in no way be close to the way it is now if it wasn’t for this blog. I wouldn’t be friends with half the people I know, I wouldn’t be married, I wouldn’t be cool. HA. I guess you could say I pretty much owe my life to my blog, but at the same time if I didn’t exist it wouldn’t exist so maybe it owes its life to me.

No matter what I have done in my life this blog has always been there with me. And although I’m sure if I didn’t work a job where I sit infront of a computer for 8 hours a day I might not have the opportunity to blog as much as I do, the fact is I do. Maybe the universe worked it out that way. The universe wants me to blog.

Every day this thing surprises me. It surprises me with how many people come out of the wood work and comment or send me emails or want to meet me in person.

I heart my blog.

Even when you are all gone, I’m pretty sure I will blog until the day I die.

4 years. I can’t believe its been that long!

Spam

I woke up this morning to 198 emails in my inbox all having to do with spam comments on my blog. I have already blocked countless IP addresses and marked even more as ‘SPAM’ yet they keep coming.

What is the point? Do people even fall for spam messages anymore? Am I really going to click on the ridiculous links you send me? Do I REALLY want to see Miley Cyrus  naked???

NO.

I blame all of this on Chad because once, long ago, he was a spammer, and now, Karma is getting HIM back by getting ME back.

Oh the things I have had to suffer because of him.

Spammers need to GET A LIFE!
